Which Door, Fred?
Fred was walking along the street one day when he came across a mysterious looking man standing in front of a building with four doors at its entrance. The first had a red doorbell, the second had a green doorbell, the third had a blue doorbell and the fourth had a yellow doorbell. The man stopped him and asked him to ring the bell of one of the four doors, promising Fred that if he chose the correct door he would be richly rewarded.
"Ring only one doorbell to strike rich instantly Fred" said the mysterious man.
"Do I get a clue?" asked Fred.
"Ah" replied the mysterious man, "I have already given you one."
Fred chose unsuccessfully and left empty-handed. Do you know which doorbell he should have rung?
AnswerFred should have rung the first doorbell. When you take the first letter from each word of the mysterious man's sentence "Ring Only One Doorbell To Strike Rich Instantly Fred" and read them backwards, you get FIRST DOOR.
Fred should have rung the first doorbell.
