Is This the Military?Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.
I support and protect
There are two protectors above me
Without me - your thoughts are vulnerable
I act as a lever for movements in the body
I am the hardest structure of the body
I am involved indirectly in connection with certain manipulations
HintNo - This is not the Military . . . .
AnswerThe Occipital Bone
I give shape and strength to the body. The Occipital bone forms the lower back part of the cranium and is below the parietal bones. The 2 Parietal bones form the sides and top (crown) of the cranium. The bones of the skull protect the brain (your thoughts are vulnerable). Bone is the hardest structure of the body. It is composed of fibrous tissues firmly bound together, consisting of about one-third animal matter and two-thirds mineral matter.
The Occipital bone, along with the parietal, frontal, temporal, ethmoid and sphenoid are involved indirectly in connection with scalp and facial manipulations.
