We know that you can place up to 8 queens on a chessboard with no other pieces in such a fashion that no queen can be taken. We also know that you can place 32 knights on the board in such a fashion that none can be taken. Do you know how many bishops you can place on a standard 8x8 chessboard so that no piece can be taken? What is their placement? What Next?
