Up So HighRiddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.
I am extremely heavy,
yet I fly through the air.
Not many people understand
how I stay up there.
Almost everyone sees me,
as overhead I fly by.
Not seen on the ground,
found only in the sky.
HintI am not a plane.
Clouds are made up of billions of droplets or frozen crystals, usually 0.01mm in diameter. When massed in these billions, they become visible as clouds. They are also very reflective, 70-95%, which is why they appear white, at least on top. They scatter light very well, which is why from underneath, clouds tend to appear grey or black. A water droplet weighs very little, but when you count the billions that cling together, a small cumulus cloud can weigh upwards of 550 tons.
