Every Term Must End Erstwhile Leaders KnowRiddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.
Some heads of state and figures regal
Would assure you that I am legal
Being my opposite it may take
To bring this attribute to your steak
Moments that might be described as me
Expressions of love shared quietly
As a mixologist I'll go far
So long as I am mixed with a bar
What am I?
HintIf you're having a tough time with this one, go in the opposite direction.
legal tender - Many banknotes and coins carry the image of a political leader, monarch, or emperor.
tender steak - In order to tenderize your steak, you may need to pound it i.e. be tough with it.
tender moments - These are quiet and calm bonding moments that are usually shared between just two people.
bartender - A mixologist is another word for a bartender ("bar" + "tender").
The perhaps subtle hint hinges on the fact that the word "tough" is an antonym (or opposite) of the word "tender".
The title was probably not very helpful, but was a cryptic clue in that between the words "Must End Erstwhile" the word "tender" is actually spelled out.
