Young Biologist
Trivia brain teasers have some element of trivia in them, but they are not just pure trivia questions.
A young, and ironically greedy, marine biologist wanted to be famous. At the end of a recent expedition, he explained to his team: "The narwhal's horn is used as a feeler, similar to an insect's antennae, to detect the water temperature and see if it is suitable for its own living." His team did not believe him. Why?
HintThink of the narwhal's characteristics.

Answer
Narwhals do not have horns. The 'horn' the marine biologist is referring to is a left tooth, and surely a marine biologist would know this.

| Good one! Also, since it lives in water, feeling two feet ahead isn't much good... |

| I thought at first it was because Narwhal Whales are only found in the Arctic Circle, and so the temperature of the water I believe doesn't change very much: maybe a few degrees one way.
Pretty cool riddle though, whales are my favourite animals |
