In a deck of Spanish playing cards there are no queens, and the suits are Clubs, Cups(for diamonds), Gold(for hearts), and Swords. The face cards hold the objects. Sword is 'espada' in Spanish, and I wonder if our English 'spade' is somehow derived from that. Anybody know?
