| Fairly obvious. Problem is a very quick piece of logic though says that for the magnifying room to be effective it would have to focus the sunlight, which means that the room would either have to move constantly, or, more likely, if he waits five minutes the sun will have moved enough that the light diffuses and he can walk through even in sunlight. |

| Good teaser. Blagh you said that ...'the magnifying room to be effective it would have to focus the sunlight', Sorry this is would not necessary so. Only a limited focus would bring the temperature into a fatal range regardless of the sun's movement. See the greenhouse effect on Venus.

But for real, I think it should be something besides a logic, maybe trick, because when I thought of the answer, I thought it couldn't be that because it wasn't a trick teaser. But, looks like some people still had a hard time with it, and enjoyed it, so that's cool. Dragons do exist in my mind and in lots of other people's too. If the writer says the sun frys anything entereing the room, then in the universe of this puzzle it does.

| Wow...the most logical answer is the one I couldn't think of . To me it was obvious that the door to the magnifying glass room would've been burned already, so he would know which it was. Then he would lure the fire-breathing dragon into the other room where it would burn to a mini-crisp and the unlucky man would be home free. |

| That was awesome!! At first I did wonder if I could lure the dragon to the magnifying room, I instead decided to let the sleeping dragon lie ... and yes, I thought to go through at nighttime. I did worry that the doors would squeak when I opened them to check which room had the dragon, but I tried to be very careful....
And I think I know how the man got in the room in the first place.... he got dropped in through a hole in the roof, Probably by the dragon, which I tend to picture being the winged kind, not the chinese kind. |

| The problem when you introduce something completely illogical into a logic problem, the whole problem becomes moot and any answer is now valid. Saying there is a fire breathing dragon introduces a new variable which doesn't exist in reality. Once that is done, without defining any further rules of that new reality, people are free to add their own properties (I.e. Dragons would never hurt humans, the sun would never set) and they would be right as logic has already been dismissed in the original problem. |

| I also thought of frying the dragon first but hen couldn't work out the logistics of leading him into the glass room. Then came up with the idea of letting the dragon fall asleep. That lead me to the wait until it is night solution.
Yes the teaser is flawed as pointed out in above comments, but it is just a teaser, meant to be fun. |
