1920-1850?
Trick brain teasers appear difficult at first, but they have a trick that makes them really easy.
A man in Europe was born around 1920, and he died around 1850. The man was 85 years old when he died.
How is that possible?
Answer
1920 and 1850 are the times when he was born and when he died (19:20 and 18:50).

| I guessed the correct answer but I was thinking another alternative could be the building numbers where he was born & died. |

| I was thinking BC. Around is such a broad term that around 1920 could mean 1927 and around 1850 could mean 1842. Especially when talking about people born that long ago around is in terms of centuries. |

| I would have thought that they were the room numbers of the hospital. He was born up on the 19th floor, in the 20th room... 1920, and he died on the 18th floor, 50th room... 1850.
Born in 1920, died in 1850. ;P |
