what does Queue mean, anyway- if it is a word, as is mentioned in the riddle
musicmaker21113
Jan 09, 2006

Queue means a line. As in to stand in line is to queue up.

Anyway, good teaser - I found it rather simple, though, once I realized that four letters from 5 leaves one, so I just needed to find a letter in the alphabet that sounds like a five-letter word.

Good one!

is "q" a word?jw
Smudgeza*
May 25, 2006

The question doesn't imply that "q" is a word. It simply asks which word doesn't change in pronunciation.

It's the word "queue" that doesn't change in pronunciation. "q" itself isn't a word, and the question doesn't imply that it is.

All I could think of was Tea (T) and Pea (P), but I knew that wasn't right... (Gee, wonder why?)

Very clever! I might not be that good at these, but I thought it was pretty tricky!

I'm thinking Queue is not a word.
