1 + 11
Trick brain teasers appear difficult at first, but they have a trick that makes them really easy.
What do you get when you add 1 and 11, four times?
Hint48 is not right.

Answer
Four 12's.
If you thought the answer was 48, then you performed a step (adding the 12's together) which you weren't told to do.

| Thank you. Glad you liked it. It is somewhat easy if you think about it. It is surprising, though, how many people I have stumped with this one. |

| FYI to those looking. They phrasing of my hint and my answer was changed by the editors. So if it doesn't make sense, I apologize. Thank you in any case for reviewing my teasers. |

| I tried to send you a personal email, but system said you did not exist. Not sure why, but if Jake can figure it out, I'll get you a note with my original answer. |

| i went with twelve - no matter how many times you add 1 to 11 you still get 12 - maybe the "four twelves" answer makes slightly more sense in the context of the original phrasing |

| I thought it was 45. 1 +11 four times. 11 four times= 44,+ 1 = 45 |

| I thought the answer would be 111,111,111,111....
Add 1 and 11, so I just put them one beside the other and "added" them in a tricky way (Kind of like adding "food" to "fish" to make "fishfood"), and then I did it 4 more times. |

| I did think of four 12's for a moment...but then I was like, 'it can't be.' Oh well, it seems like I was wrong. |
