Yeah, Absy, I know what you mean. For this teaser I tried to use the "traditional" birthstones, but there is still some variance. I thought people would be able to get it from the astrological signs, since they overlap two months each. Sorry for any confusion.

Funness! I too was confused about the aquamarine / bloodstone thing, but I knew that February is amethyst, so I was able to deduce the right answer...
