Brain Teasers
Playing Ball
Five friends (Bobby, Isaac, Isabel, Mimi and Shane) are participating in a baseball game with some other people. Each friend plays a different position (First base, Pitcher, Shortstop, Catcher, Right field) and makes a different number of hits (1,2,3,4 or 5). From the clues can you figure out who did what?
Clues:
1) Bobby, the furthest from home base, had exactly twice as many hits as the pitcher.
2) The shortstop was tired after getting her fifth hit.
3) Shane had more hits than all the other infielders except for Isabel.
4) Isaac wears a mask.

4) Isaac wears a mask.
Answer
From clue 1 we know that Bobby is the right fielder and that he got 4 hits and the pitcher got 2 hits. From clue 2 we know that the shortstop is a woman (Mimi or Isabel) and that she got 5 hits.
From clue 3 we know that Shane had 3 hits and Isabel had 5. This means that Isabel is the shortstop (see clue 2).
From clue 4 we know that Isaac is the catcher.
Since we already know that Shane had 3 hits and the pitcher had 2, Shane cannot be the pitcher. The only position left for him is first base, which leaves Mimi as the pitcher.
Now we know everything:
Bobby is the right fielder and he got 4 hits.
Isaac is the catcher and he got 1 hit.
Isabel is the shortstop and she got 5 hits.
Mimi is the pitcher and she got 2 hits.
Shane is the first baseman and he got 3 hits.

There is another solution, as clue 1 could have the right fielder with 2 hits to the pitcher's 1 hit.
Nice Teaser, pretty easy, i challanged my son & we both came up with different answers. There are 2 solutions as mentioned by Gizzer above. You might want to make the change "except for the outfield".
Your logic has a hole in it and there is more than one answer. If everything is the same except for Bobby has two hits and Mimi has one he still has twice as many as the pitcher. That leaves Shane with 4 hits as having the most of the infielders except Isabel and leaves Isaac the catcher with 3 hits. Everything still works
I hate these kind. Feels like a test in school.
As mentioned, there are definitely two solutions.. the second one's the one I came up with. Almost thought I got it wrong...
Sorry to be "that guy" but I submitted a teaser that so far has received no votes. My last teaser got a very high score. By the way, this was not one of your better teasers.
The teaser is fine as written. It asks "From the clues can you figure out who did what?".
The answer needs to change. The answer is "no".
