| MellowYellow, dude, you really must look up the definition of 'pontificate'. It means to pretend to be important, that is, to assume an air of high office. And although it was easy to figure out what you meant, white is also not colorless.
Got to defend you on the 10+2 24 hour one, though. Sure, some people can twist the math and come up with weird numbers, but the point is to arrive at a title of a Christmas song through the given clue. 10+2 is a valid way to portray the number 12. |

I have written difficult teasers that were rejected so I can't figure out which way to go with them - easy or hard, complain, or be rejected. Sometimes it doesn't make sense. Good teaser. | That was cute and much easier than I thought it would be when I first started working on it; I've seen more difficult versions of this same kind of teaser. But that's not a complaint, because I like it when I can breeze through a teaser quickly and get back to whatever I was doing beforehand.
I learned a new word today, too! I thought pontificate meant what you thought it meant when writing this teaser!! I'm glad to know better now! |
