| I laughed out loud when I saw this teaser! This site is getting to sound like a bunch of little kids fighting with each other over nothing. After 38 wonderful years of teaching I'm ready to leave behind from that aspect of it. I think I'll quit reading the comments (although I've often gleaned some interesting information from the intelligent ones). I'll just go on enjoying the teasers, which is why I've come to this site in the first place. |

| I actually don't know whether I like or dislike this rebus... Even worse, I got the answer without understanding why... I was at a complete loss and the only thing I could think of was the answer without understanding it.
I eventually read the answer and groaned... not sure whether to be pleased with getting the answer or at the silliness as to why it was the answer and not understanding it for a couple minutes. |

Strange that the title has caused so much debate, when the titles are hardly important. I could have just called it Teaser #356 but that would have been dull. My teasers are written with fun in mind and are not supposed to be University entrance exams. If you can't have fun in life then what's the point Keep smiling |

| I thought I would throw in my thoughts about the title and why it seems to be causing so much trouble. Das Boot is a specific and popular german phrase referring to a submarine. It doesn't translate at all in english to a trunk or boot regardless of what version of english you speak. When I read the title, my mind instantly focused on the submarine relationship and the rebus stumped me as a result. A little frustrating, but I'll get over it. I do get the point you were going for over having a generic title. But the confusion it's causing is likely from mixing three different cultures and a puzzle all at the same time via a simple title. I'm now curious if I would have had solved the rebus with a generic title. |
