I thought of this instantly because useless facts are my forte and have a 3"folder filled with useless facts and i have 4 different ways that is noted, one of which is
Spades-King David
Hearts-Charlemagne
Clubs-Alexander The Great
Diamonds-Julius Caesar
so there is no garentee that all these kings are correct in my or you case but still a kick ()() teaser

I had a vague notion of this answer and I surprised myself. I th ink it's a fun one.
Whereas I thought of the answer to this one immediately because of the name of the teaser... Maybe someone ought to look into fixing that?
This is allmost a direct copy of one of my teasers which was rejected last week...
AXTON. this was accepted last week, I must have beaten you by a hair.
Well, it's good to know it's not true (I knew neither about the myth or the fact), but the point is that if people at least know about it, it works as a teaser... for example, Washington sure as heck never cut down a cherry tree, but it could still be used in a teaser such as this one.
Though, Julius Caesar wasn't a king. It could be argued that he had the same position, but really, I wouldn't, because we're talking Rome... not England or France. And really, would you equate a Sultan or a Rajah, or Czar to a king? Well anyways.. i wouldn't lol

Gizzer, the answer does state "According to common legend" thus showing it is not necessarily true, but just commonly believed.
Yes, it does, Mad. What's your point? I'm not criticizing the teaser, just pointing out the "common legend" is false.
And I was just pointing out that the teaser did not claim to be true either, so what is your point?
A game of euchre, anyone?
It was very obvious by the topic. \"Hit the Deck\" It doesn\'t really go along with the question, it helps oput with the answer WAY too much. You should\'ve changed it to work with the question instead of give it away. But it was good. I liked it.
hee hee hee...i thought of \"royal flush\"... ..I\'m still waking up...
Very clever teaser.Even with the hint I was lost.
I had it figured correctly, except I had some dressed in the wrong suit.
I am not amused......
I am not amused......
I thought they were all together in the common form of a corpse.
I thought it was cute and can always use totally useless knowledge When I play poker tomorrow I\'ll be asking for a David , Julis etc.
pretty neato
yea, its not so great. no offence. i got it pretty easy (strike 1) i also thought it was that they\'ve all been included in movies (strike 2). the card thing isnt necessarly true (strike 3) normally its three strikes your out, but i also wanted to add i\'ve heard different answers to this SAME problem, and to the whole deck of cards thing. sorry, but try a different one next time.
Only got it after I saw the hint. Never heard that legend before.
the teaser was fun but the name gave it away!

I said \"all are in Shakespeares plays\" but.........I was wrong.....hahah
they are all dead also
i didnt get it even with the hint and the title
Alright, but does anyone know why the K of hearts is killing himself? (Or at least scratching his head with his sword?) Cuz I've always wondered that....
that was stuoid, bad, and ovious loser...gosh
easy
That was fun, I switched some, but I liked it.
Why do people get so cruel and insulting if they didn't like a teaser? I thought it was interesting, and would never have got it if it weren't for the title. If it makes you think and keeps you interested enough to find out the answer, I say it's a good teaser. Stop being so harsh and critical! This is just for FUN! Lighten up! Enjoy!
that's very interesting..i didn't know that...thanks for the information and the great teaser
wuzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzuuuuuuuuuuuuuupppppppppppppppppppp
i herd that somwhair

pitiful.
I didn't get it wil the hint or the title! I loved it, Mosoh!
Julius Caeser wasn't a king so the teaser doesn't count.
Even with the hint and the title, my brain just didn't want to cooperate with me! Good job.
This was too easy.
Very nice, liked this a lot
Why does everyone have to be so stinkin critical??? Lots of people have a common belief about lots of things...it's a free world (mostly). Like Thumper says "...if ya can't say somethin' nice, don't say nothin' at all."
Got it through clues, but did not know that. Thanks for the link as well, gizzer. Very interesting!
I enjoyed thiso n Mosoh! Keep them coming!
Good job, i like it although somehow i had no idea. Keep up the good job!
