Easy but clever.

Cute teaser! I really enjoyed it!
But, no, it's not an American song. It was written in the mid nineteenth century in England -
Half a pound of tuppenny rice,
Half a pound of treacle.
That's the way the money goes,
Pop! goes the weasel.
The verse with the mulberry bush, and others, seem to be American in origin, but more recent!

Good one and I took each one seperately and diagnosed what there was about each one and still missed it. My bad! Fun!
This was fun but not really a good teaser because, of course, weasels don't really go pop.
I thought it was fun, even if easy. Of course it was only easy to those of us familiar with the song "Pop Goes the Weasel".
41? more hen than chick (joke)
a little too easy, but that's ok
Still cute after all this time.
When some of you say it was too easy, or even easy, why don't you say, "It was too easy for me?" Some do not find it easy and it is difficult to accept that you may be smarter than others.
Thank you! I found it pretty easy for me.

OOPS! I was wrong! I did not find it easy the first time. Sorry!
Easy teasy, but not immediately obvious. I did have to free associate a bit, which made it rewarding and entertaining when the answer, um, snaps into your head.
I agree with Babe. Some teasers flummox me when everyone else says it is easy. Sometimes, an answer will seem obvious to me, but it may be I was just lucky that my first guess was right.
Sometimes "too easy" does deprecate the teaser. Some just aren't fun because there is no challenge. But sometimes, very easy teasers can still be very clever and entertaining. Plus, there should be some very easy teasers out there so that there is something for everyone.
Bottom line, I love this one. It's short and sweet. Perfect to share in meetings at work to break the ice.

I also found it to be easy. I first looked for ways they could be related linguistically, then as Snowdog so aptly put it it snapped in to my mind. Didn't want to go for the pun there, Snowdog? I agree with his and Babes comments.
this made me laugh! good one!
Cute joke, but more suited to the juniors, me thinks?
