| i don't think that when someone is born has anything to do with it GCAF! I was born in 1977 and my favourite band is The Beatles - i love a lot of music that was around well before i was born including Janis Joplin and Bob Dylan - who incidentally also falls into this category (he had hits in the 80's with the Travelling Wilbury's).
It was an ok teaser, but i don't know the kinks and i think it was a valid point - where were they hits, because i'm from australia. In the answer you should put what those hits were. |

| Without wishing to be pedantic this teaser is not correct.
There is also another group who can boast this achievement (at least in Great Britain) - The Bee Gees (Massachusetts in the 1960s, Staying Alive in the 1970s and You Win Again in the 1980s).
God bless. |

| I don\'t know if they had hits or not, but I do know they all share the word \"THE\" in their names!! |

| None of them have the vowel "U" in their names either but I think the "The" link was too obvious for it to be that challenging
Nice teaser. |

| I agree - just because you were born after a group was popular, doesn't mean you couldn't have heard of them and actually enjoyed their music. Good teaser... |

| Well, I agreed w/ a lot of comments this time...I thought of the word 'the' also and I was born smack dab in the middle of those years and even though I couldn't get it, that doesn't mean people won't be enjoying their music for many years to come and get it years from now. |
