A Giant Puzzle (Part 3)
I still have 7 more things to put away and time is running out fast. Next I decide to put away the giant's board games.
The colors of the board games are blue, brown, green, orange, purple, red, and yellow.
1. Purple is somewhere to the left of green.
2. Red is next to blue.
3. Brown is 3 away from blue (2 between).
4. Yellow is 2 away from red.
5. Blue is in the middle.
6. Orange is directly between yellow and purple.

Super fantastic!!! Why more explanations - it's a TEASER! You need to figure it out otherwise there is no fun. There were enough detail to get it right without being to difficult. Keep it up - I LOVE THIS!!!
very easy, The only thing it lacked as far as the actual teaser goes is the point such as...Can you put the colors in order?
Apr 06, 2005
I thought it was a great puzzle! I love these types. As for not understanding it, I thought it was perfect excpept all you had to say was can you put them in order. Other than that it was awsome
Good teaser with just enough info given to solve. Easy but enjoyed it.
I'm fairly new here so haven't seen the other parts of this teaser but I didn't have a problem - ok I used an excel spreadsheet and coloured cells but I got there! Great fun - no other info was needed...
didn't quite understand..

That was good but took to long to figure out. Some people are stupid.
It's not nice to call people stupid.
Good Teaser
This was my first and I was delighted to solve it in less than 5 minutes! None the less it's a GOOD ONE!
At last, I managed to get a daily teaser right!! Hurrah for the GreatWarKeg!!!
I was a little confused too when I first read it, but I was able to solve it with just the information given. Love these types of puzzles. Pay no mind to the haters!
no extra explanation needed. it's a standard logic type.

Excellent.... I just takes brains....

Excuse me, IT just takes brains....
That was a GREAT teaser!!!! I luv these kind!!
EZ but fun. Like the puzzles you need a scratch pad for.
A bit vague as to what the teaser was about...but getting things in some order is getting easy as many times as this type of teaser has been used on this site.
a bit to easy
HEN HAO! XIEXIE NI
VERY GOOD! THANK YOU!
VERY GOOD! THANK YOU!
very clean and fun puzzle. enjoyable. It would have been nice to simply put the question 'which order should the puzzles go in?' But that was implied from the description, so I just went for it.
keep em coming!
keep em coming!
I didn't get it 'cause I haven't seen the other parts! Well in part V give a better discription.
Waiting for number 4.
I don't see whats not to get. This is the first teaser of yours I've seen and I understood it no problem. It was quite easy but fun!
I understood it, I just didnt' get it.
This is my favorite kind of puzzle; loved this one and it was kinda easy
had a bad start to the morn so I couldnt even bother to try this one lol
Sorry about your morn, SalePrice. Hope it brightens up!
Funny how some find these Logic puzzles so easy and others of us - including me - struggle. That's the BRAIN for ya!

Always enjoy a logic puzzle, whether they are simple or difficult. It's nice to find something in the email box other than a riddle or word teaser.
Logic probs are some of my favorite things in the world. One of my sons got his first one in the 3rd grade, and I helped him and got hooked. Love, love, love them. I've been doing them for over 30 years and can't get enough. Thanks, and keep them coming. By the way I thought there were plenty of clues. Thanks again.
Sorry...maybe I'm tired, but I'm not sure it was explained very well. I lost the plot!!!
that was easy, yet fun... i like these teasers.
Great logic teaser...period! thanks for a daily that I really like for a change. I am a logic and cryptography nut!!!
beautifully put together
Didn't see the other parts ,but I got it I understand about the need for some put them in order or whatever ,cus i sit here with a blank look on my face for five minutes thinkin somethin would explain otherwise lovedit
i don't get it
cute!!!
AS USUAL CDROCKS! Aha! I finally got one of these so either I'm getting better or it was an easy one. Either way I enjoyed this one very much. Keep them comin'.
Hm, I would've preferred that you say something like, Orange is sandwiched between Yellow and Purple, or Orange is right next to Yellow on one side and Purple on the other.
I wasn't sure that's what you meant, but I guess it was!
I wasn't sure that's what you meant, but I guess it was!
you don't understand what to do until you see the answer.i thought we were playing name that board game.
DID NOT UNDERSTAND IT MORE EXPLANATION WILL BE APPRECIATED
I could never get that! Good one, though!
enxt time for people who did not read the 1st or 2nd teazers you should explain hat you are supposed to do.
I didn't even understand the "directions" or know what I was shooting for... very confusing
i liked this 1. i dot usually get these kind, but i got this 1
ok...u didnt even explain wat u were supposed 2 do!!! and the directions were a little vague! i guess it was good though! (wats the point bout havin 2 put away games quick?)
OMG! MY BRAIN HURTS SO BAD!!!!!
Great job on the teaser! I didn't have any trouble understanding it, though I can see how more instructions might have been useful. The hints were well thought out, though as soon as I figured out the location of red the puzzle was solved so it was pretty easy.
Fairly easy, but unique. I understood we needed to put the colors in order, but didn't really "get" why. I don't read the hints.
Thanks for a fun start to my day.
Thanks for a fun start to my day.
A good teaser. I like ones that take me a couple minutes.

I REALLY LOVED THAT ONE
Hey, Good One Took me a min. to figure out what I was doing with the colors
Thanks for a nice, logical and interesting puzzle. Got it too! Please give us some more.
I'm not crazy about logic problems. I rarely take the time too actually sit and figure them out. I guess I'm too impatient.
This was a good one though, even if I didn't finish it before looking at the answer.

Thanks. I love logic puzzles.
My email said 5 things to put away. I was able to get the answer using 7. Most confusing.
Excellent!
I had yellow and purple reversed. Knew they were wrong, but couldn't figure out how to fix it. Duh!
EVEN AS A RERUN THIS WAS FUN!
XIEXIE NI!

I always enjoy logic teasers like this one. It makes me really use my brain in the morning. Great puzzle...Keep up the great work!!!
Hah?
I got that one!!!!
My first reaction was HUH?!? But after reading through it became obvious and ended up being fairly easy!
Made me think. Exactly what I'm looking for.
Made me think. Exactly what I'm looking for.
this teaser was not very good...there was no explanation on how to do it.after i saw the answer i realized you wanted them in order..so thumbs down
Again, I need to read these things at least twice, and then whoo hoooooooo...... gottem all

The puzzle didn't need to list #2. #4 will imply #2 (though the reverse does not hold).
Fairly easy. The one thing that should have been stated is that all of them are placed in a line or in a pile... I wonder if this can also be solved in 3 dimensions...

great teaser. i got it right. needed scratch pad though. keep 'em coming.
thats cool but i got it wrong
Loved it last year, love it this year. I've done some logic problems that took all day to figure out, so this one was a breeze. Give us some more, please !
Very nice, and I got it!
nice way to begin the day, jump start the brain. Not too hard, not too easy.
I think that I over-thought it. I was putting the colors in a box shape. I had some of the correct order...but didn't get it. Oh well. Maybe if I knew it was going in a line I would have gotten it. I liked it though.
i thought it was an actual board game 7x7
What's the question???
I didn't understand the question correctly. It said something re part 2?
I thought of Monopoly "Board Game" Place Blue Boardwalk & Park place cheaper purple & yellow properties etc.
I tried The answer was a complete suprise. Not my thing I guess. Thanks anyway

Best one yet...took more thought. I'm glad that I went back and did the first two before I did this one (helped me understand your thought process a bit better.) Looking forward to part four!
I liked this -- I got the answer, but I wanted the colors to be in the order of resister numbering color code, and was disappointed when they weren't.
It was explained very well and I haven't seen your other ones. I started think along the line of board games like Trivia Pursuit, etc. trying to figure out what game has these colors.
Super easy, but still really fun!
Not worthy of a comment
i dont get this at all... doesnt make sense... very disappointed.
yeah, fun sorta thing... I gave up... I 'm sad now.
I like this kind and enjoyed this one. I also like the new and improved IMurray. (though I wonder if puttemup might be an alias.........)
i dont get wtf it was asking me to do. and i dont get it.
Enjoyed it , it made me use my mind. looking forward to the next one
thats cool
I got it! Took me some time(like 15 mins), but I got it! I am so proud of myself! Anyway, thanks for the awesome teaser, really liked it, hope to see more! Keep up the great work.
awesome teaser but way too freakin easy got it in like 2 minutes n didn't even have to write nething down
This is a great teaser. I am not any good at logic puzzles. I guess I don't have a logical mind. But I like trying. So you keep sending them in. One day, I may answer one.
I couldn't figure out what the question was, let alone the answer
This was just hard enough to be challenging and easy enough to be fun. I don't understand how the directions could have been any more plain.
Yay, I love logic puzzles! and had fun doing this one. WTG!
Very enjoyable teaser. Cheers
I loved it too!
It's logical and I like this type of puzzle Thanks for a good job

I agree with jcann (back in 2007) who wrote: This was just hard enough to be challenging and easy enough to be fun. I don't understand how the directions could have been any more plain.
Fun!
Great teaser!
Thanks, Gaylewolf! I forgot that I had done it before and just did it again and enjoyed it just as much.
I made 7 short lines on my paper side by side and then started with bloue in the middle and the others just fell into place.

Well, here we are again! This type of quiz can be repeated, because you have to do it all over again - can't be memorized! I love this type of puzzle.
Still love it! Thanks!
I never get these ans so I do not like them. My brain just gives out about half way through and I quit! Sorry!
I rather enjoy logic and logic grid puzzles. Unlike some of the riddle type, there is no way to solve these without working them all the way through, but if you take the time to sit and figure it out, they are always doable. This one was the perfect difficulty level to do at 5am! Anything harder and I would have to put it aside for later.
Wornout and overused easy teaser.
Loved it just as much this time as I did back in '06. Logic puzzles are one of my faves. Thanks for the repeat.
The reason so many found it difficult, and did not understand what the author wanted, was because she offered no explanation at all. You just had to surmise that she wanted the colors in order of how they should be.
To the last five contributors above.
If you are soooooooooo concerned about puzzle "repeats" (which, of course, is the entire REASON FOR the TOTDs) .....
Then WHY WHY WHY are NONE OF YOU contributing comments or votes to the most recent NEW teasers?????

Not once does the teaser ask or tell what needs to be done. For instance "What order are the games in?"
Very poorly written, teaser needs to be removed, and the editor who allowed it needs to not be an editor anymore.

enjoyed it, thanks!
rather obvious what you were supposed to do...fairly easy to solve...nice job
The last clue really blew it wide open. Nice job.
Holy Macaroni!! I got it!!
