elentir Nov 23, 2009	Coal does not form diamonds. Coal is sedimentary rock made from plant remains. Both diamonds and coal are composed of carbon, and you may be able to process and use coal to artificially create diamonds, but it is not a naturally occuring process.

jonnybgood Nov 23, 2012	The best answers are diamond or carbon. Diamonds are not formed from coal. They are usually much older and formed much deeper below the Earth's surface than coal.
