Logic-Grid
Logic Grid puzzles come with a handy interactive grid that will help you solve the puzzle based on the given clues.Logic-Grid
Billy's birthday was last Saturday. It was filled with fun, games, and attractions. Five guests were so anxious to get to the party that they were up at 6:30 a.m. Their parents took advantage of this situation. Each child had to do a different chore and his or her homework before attending the party. Consequently, each child arrived at a different time. From the information provided, determine the chore and homework each child had to do as well as what time he or she arrived.
1. Simone got to the party at 1:00 p.m. The guest who took out the trash didn't arrive until after 2:00 p.m.
2. Jorge (who didn't have English homework) had to weed his mother's flower beds before going to the party.
3. The guest who had to do science homework arrived at some point after Jorge.
4. The guest charged with bathing the dog (who isn't Mina) isn't the child who did reading homework. Patrick didn't have English homework.
5. One girl made it to the party at 1:40 p.m. after completing her math homework.
6. The boy who had to wash clothes isn't the guest who arrived at 2:05 p.m. (who had to do English homework).

I couldn't get it
Good first teaser! I'm looking forward to more.
???
I read the first part then moved on to the answer. Way to much work to figure out.

not too hard but not easy. i start hard logic puzzles at 3:30 and end a week later. i did this one in under 30 min but it was still hard until i relised how to use a clue many ways and everything fell into place... the longest ive ever done a logic puzzle is 2 or 3 weeks an hour every day.. but very good job!
there wasnt enough clues for me. but if some other people did... fine.
I got messed up on the last line... I thought the parentheses meant that the person who washed clothes did English homework. You could have split them up into different lines to avoid confusion.
Wow, I actually had to compare columns.
okay that was so cool like totally~
You Didn't have enough information
Good Job! There were just enough clues without making the teaser too easy. Ignore those thinking you didn't give enough clues. They haven't learned to use the clues effectively!
The only problem I had was figuring out whether or not a name was a boy or girl. It seemed as though this information was used in the clues. Maybe the intro could have said how many boys and girls there were.
i gave up on this 1
maybe some were able to spend the time needed, i lost interest.
i love a good challenge, i don't like it to become a 'chore'.
i used the grid but felt like i needed to guess after applying all of the clues given here.
maybe i'm lazy or maybe it could have used another clue.
i'm sure i'm not the only one who loses interest before putting it all together.
it sounds like a few people enjoyed this, i am not one of those.

This was a great grid. The clues were just right and it required just a bit of comparing columns. I had a lot of fun with it. Got it done quickly and still got a decent brain workout...hehe.
line within the parenthesis got me wrong. SIGH.
This was very challenging and I gave up. I think there was not enough information. It also threw me off that it said "one girl" there were a couple of names that could have been girl names. Very hard
Just the right clues for me, wasn't easy but not hard either. very good one.
I still have no idea how you can tell whether it's Jorge or Simone doing the reading or the social science homework, or what times they got there...and i had no idea who was doing what chore except for the Jorge weeding (though I may have been able to work that out once I figured who was doing what homework and/or when)

At least I'm not the only one who didnt get it.
That one was fun. A little easy, but fun!! It was my first one on this site .. I hope they are all as entertaining!!
Thanks! I LOVED the idea of the parents taking advantage of the time the kids had-HA! Nicely done - clues were well-written.
Ummm...... kinda hard not enough clues, its an okay puzzle though.....
I think the perfect puzzle is one that not everyone gets. There are plenty of clues! Adding one would make it too easy. The best thing to do on these is read from top to bottom, crossing off all the way, then reading from top to bottom again. You'd be surprised how much really IS in the few clues!
My technique seems to be different - I go top to bottom, and then bottom to top.
What matters is that it works for you!
This was just the right number of clues! I wouldn't want it any easier!

I agree with those that say there are just enough clues to keep you busy yet not too impossible to solve. The key to being able to finish it is to go through the clues comparing your grid and adding what can be added from what you already figured out. If you only go through it once than it will seem as though there are not enough clues but there are enough.
How fun...actually had to kick in all 3 brain cells...
pretty easy for one of yours, but still fun.
the only way to solve this is to know that walter is o-> and simone's +o...i thought simon's masculine? my neighbourhood dont include any walters/simons/simones so i wouldnt know...i know walt disney though...
If, in clue 5, you read "one girl" so, that there must be at least 2 girls, then there is only Simone to choose. If there is a girl named Walter or Patrick; I beg your pardon. If "one girl" doesn't mean that there are more of them then I don't think you can solve the teaser with the clues given.
got the 'at least 2 girls' fact, just couldn't make out which of the 2 (simone/walter pair) is of the XX genetics...
Maybe your easiest one.
good...easy...i definately enjoyed it. Did not take more than a couple of minutes to figure out!
I don't know how so many people could have thought that there were not enough clues, especially since so many of us solved it. Anyway good job!
I enjoyed the puzzle.. just the right amount of clues add in a little column comparisons and Viola! Done!! Everything fell nicely into place.
i like it cz it has my name in it!! (simone just in case u were wondering!!)
