Answer
Civic.
Convert the numbers to roman numerals: 100 = C, 1 = I, and 5 =V.

I don't know much about cars, and I HATE roman numerals, for some reason I can never get them right. It's a great teaser, though.

It was O.K. if you know Roman numerals, but how many people do? Therefore it was a puzzle for a few and not for the many others of us.

I really liked it. Though I no longer drive, when I did, I always owned Japanese cars (and a Japanese bike), so thought of all the 5 letter cars I could before trying to figure out how the numbers fit. As soon as I was trying to fit civic in, the Roman Numeral thing jumped right out. We learned Roman Numerals in school, and though that was many many moons ago. I would have thought it was still part of the ciriculaum.

Oh, I thought it was the Hummuh Palindrome. I wasn't thinking Roman numerals but I find them fascinating. (Once you know how to use them) Have a great weekend, friends

It's scary to think Roman numerals aren't being taught any more! That arrangement of numbers jumped right out at me as Rom. num's, and I got it upon reading it, so for me it was fun and super-easy!

When did they stop teaching Roman numerals as at least a small part of elementary school arithmetic? No wonder American students fall towards the bottom of the rankings when it comes to math proficiency. Also, I suspect that those who don't like a Teaser and who make comments such as, "... the worst Teaser af (sic) all," are precisely those who haven't been clever enough to solve the Teaser in question.
