Took a while but I got this one in my head (no calculator or pen & paper). It's nice to have had a father that loved word play and had a masters degree in education. Keep up the good work (been awhile since the grey cells had to do math).
This one was pretty easy...simple algebra, but I prefer to do things my way!
Awesome teaser!!! Good job
Good teaser. It's fun to get one once in awhile.

That was pretty easy, but i did need a piece of paper.
Simple algebra is always fun. I clicked on this teaser a few days late. By then, Braingle had used a similar problem as "Teaser of the Day." Enjoyed them both.
super easy buddy.

easy and kewl.....simple math
This took me about 10 minutes to do this one. I must have went the long way round using simultaneous equations both elimation and substitution methods for 2 different equations. Surely theres a simplier way. Anyone care to tell me? Oh and very enjoyable teaser.
i got it rite when i read it it was easy
Very easy - requiring only basic algebra - though still a good teaser!
In my head in seconds like this:
Green and red are three portions, blue is almost two more, making almost five. 24 / 5 = 5 for green, 2 x 5 = 10 for red, 10 - 1 = 9 for blue.
Took much longer to explain it than to do it.

24 / 5 = 5?
