Why?
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.
What insect has no wings, but yet will fly?
Answer
A caterpillar has no wings, but will fly when it matures and becomes a butterfly.
( I know, I know...a caterpillar is a bug :) )

| I was having real problems coming to terms with a catterpillar being classed as an insect. But after extensive research (a quick google check) apparently, as the young of a moth or butterfly it is classified as such. ~ You learn something new every day |

| you could also say a spider (even though technically it is not an insect.) when they are young, some species will deploy an 'air balloon' of silk and be carried away by the wind. but i thought this one was creative and cute. keep writing them. |
