Bouncers
Logic-Grid
Logic Grid puzzles come with a handy interactive grid that will help you solve the puzzle based on the given clues.Logic-Grid
Each of 5 bouncers who work different night spots in town has been working out at a different gym for a different number of years. Determine each bouncer's name, his place of employment (one man works at the Hi-Jinx Lounge), his gym (one is Waldo's), the number of years he's been exercising there, and the weight he maintains.
1. Axel (who weighs 255 pounds) is good friends with the bouncer at the Hollow Leg Bar (who's been going to his gym for two years).
2. Butch, who isn't the lightest of these bouncers, works at the Dewdrop Inn.
3. Gino has been a member at Pop's Gym for four years or fewer.
4. Kiko has been a steady customer at his gym for six years.
5. The patron of Shemp's Gym, who works at the Lamppost, isn't Axel.
6. The 210-pound bouncer works out at Tiger's Gym.
7. The 220-pound bouncer has been a member at his gym for five years.
8. Max, who weighs 235 pounds, isn't the bouncer who's been going to his gym for four years.
9. The guy who goes to Rocky's gym has been a member there a year longer than the bouncer at the Floods Dance Club has been at his.

Answer
Axel, Floods, Waldo's, 4 years, 255 poundsButch, Dewdrop, Rocky's 5 years, 220 pounds
Gino, Hollow Leg, Pop's, 2 years, 240 pounds
Kiko, Hi-Jinx, Tiger's, 6 years, 210 pounds
Max, Lamppost, Shemp's, 3 years, 235 pounds
The 5 bouncers are:
Axel who weighs 255 lbs (1), the 210-pound bouncer who goes to Tiger's Gym (6), the 220-pound bouncer who's been going to his gym for 5 years (7), Max who weighs 235 pounds (8) and the 240 pound bouncer. Butch who works at the Dewdrop weighs either 220 or 240 pounds (2). Gino can't weigh 210 pounds because he works at Pop's, and can't weigh 220 pounds because he has been a member of his gym for four or fewer years (3). Therefore Butch weighs 220 pounds and Gino weighs 240 pounds. Max works at the Lamppost and goes to Shemp's gym (5 and 1). Kiko is the 210 pound bouncer who has been going to his gym for 6 years (4). Gino works at the Hollow Leg and going to his gym for 2 years (1). Max has been going to his gym for 3 years (8), which leaves Axel going to his gym for 4 years. The guy who works at Floods is either Axel or Kiko. Axel works at Floods because Kiko has been at his gym for 6 years and the guy at Floods has been a member of his gym a year less than the one who goes to Rocky's gym (9). This leaves Kiko working at the Hi-Jinx, only one left, and Axel goes to Waldo's gym, only one left.

Very fun and pretty easy. It's nice that you gave the reasonings for the answer. Some beginner logic gridders will appreciate that. You wrote this well, so that with the grid it's very quick. I enjoyed it. Made me feel smart without sweating.
I just realized that this is a cinnamon grid. This was pretty easy for one of yours.. are you slipping, or just feeling sorry for us? Or am I ***gettting better**? Nah.. other people have scored this pretty easy.
Very clearly written - Not too easy, nor too difficult. Good job.

I am new to these types of puzzles. I thought this was hard and a little bit confusing. I am going to try it again and see if I can get it this time. I am a little embarassed that I did not get it after reading all the other comments saying it was easy and well written.
Yeah I have got to agree with damoore, but I guess I am just starting onto this, and I should not be too hard on myself. Kudos to those who could do it so easily.
Having done this types of puzzles for years with pen and paper, I was excited to find them here. Having the grid that fills itself in across rows & down columns just blew me away! Wow!
Well done!
Snaps for Cinnamon Girl!
This is one of your easier ones, it's about time you took pity on us!

not bad
had a hard time with it--kept getting distracted.
Kudos, cinnamon! Another good one. Easier than some of yours, but still somewhat difficult for me. I finished in 40 mins (as opposed the the hours and hours it usually takes me to do 1 of yours).
Awesome!!! Thanks.
