Spazy Croonerisms 4
Language brain teasers are those that involve the English language. You need to think about and manipulate words and letters.
A spoonerism is a pair of words that can have their initial sounds switched to form new words. The pairs need only sound the same, not necessarily be spelled the same (power saw & sour paw, horse cart & coarse heart). There may sometimes be one or two connecting words (kick the stone & stick the cone, king of the rats & ring of the cats). Given the following definitions, what are the spoonerisms?
1) overweight dam builder & symptom of a sick flying mammal
2) bottom of the ocean & an insect-bitten dog has this
3) a cooking utensil & a nosy admirer
4) the person in charge of clocks and watches & the result of exposing silent actors to the sun

| Lotta fun! I had the hardest time with #2, seemed like so many possibilities to start with. I got time man and mime tan for the last, but I consider that I got them all, because that works just as well, and the phrase "man of the times" isn't about a man who works with clocks, etc. so I think time man actually is appropriate. Very good, very fun, funnest one yet! |

GREAT TEASER! I love the spaziness of these croonerisms; they're great to wake up to. I'm not even done my coffee and I got em all! (I am counting my answer of time man and mime tan as "close enough".)
