Answer
The following clues are hidden in the teaser:The title is a clue that you are going on a trip around the world.
The three letter codes are really airport codes. Every airport in the world is assigned a code of their own. Some examples of these are LAX, JFK, DFW, etc.
Hidden within the airport codes is a message. "Caution all may not be as it seems u might best fly away today in air." You is deliberately misspelled as "u" to make the message work correctly. The sentence is not written in correct grammar due to the use of airport codes.
Also, you must pass through security to get on a plane. There are very few forms of transportation that require one to pass through security to travel the world.
There are eighteen worldwide destinations visited on this journey. The stops are in fourteen different (unique) countries. The four remaining stops are all repeat visits to one of the unique countries. The country is the common link. Travelers will visit Brazil three times, Canada two times, and Papua New Guinea two times.
Most travelers choose to sleep on long flights.
If you search the web for "AYT", most search engines will bring up AYT as an airport near the top of the search results. AYT is the only one of the eighteen codes that will do this. The others bring up irrelevant gibberish. Also, when the search results come up, it is clear from the search results that you are looking for AYT as an airport code.
Here is the list of world destinations visited during your journey. The stops are listed by city and country.

Hey myst, that is a great teaser. I did do the search and found the airport. But I also found that AYT can mean Are You There. I thought that was what I was looking for. duh
wow! .. that was fantastic! great teaser!
Great teaser - that must have taken a lot of work making a sentence out of airport codes. The only problem with search engines is that over time, the top hits may change. Currently in Google, AYT finds some investment called BARCLAYS GEMS ASIA-8.
