does not work in UK unless you state AMERICAN football. Here football IS soccer and still only has 2 halves.

I'm not in the UK and I'd have to agree.

I started out thinking it was likely the number of players on a team...until there were two single player sports!

Good one!

Not a big sports person, so I didn't get it. A creative way to list them, though. Nice job.

Puzzled by the 3 periods in hockey. It was 2 when I was at school. Having browsed the internet both the International Hockey Federation and USA Field Hockey seem to agree.

Sometime in the early hours of this morning it suddenly occured to me you meant ICE hockey. Please say so in the teaser, otherwise this is another good teaser lost in translation across the Atlantic.

Totally missed it too. I started thinking, number of players, then something to do with the balls and then... I thought, what the heck! and looked at the answer. I would never have got it!

I'm really confused. When you say, "What is it?" it is very hard to tell what it is. I stared at it for about 2 minutes and couldn't figure out what the teaser was asking. After that, I thought the answer was really cool though!
