Look at lines A and B. Which one is bigger? They are actually the same size. This is because the size of objects is sometimes distorted based on the context in which they are seen.

| its true, but it doesnt make any senese. you know, all the geometry you learn, one side of that triangle is the same, and the adjacent side on b is longer than the one on a, so the hypotenuse of b is supposed to longer...i dunno. confuzing |

That's because these lines making triangles are NOT RIGHT TRIANGLES. The Pythagorean theorem only works on right triangles, and so does not apply here. |
