Rhyme Riddle
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.
Of all the words; we are four
All rhyming down to the core
One is what a pen is for
Another's brightness can't be more
The third is a toy soaring through the wind
The last happens late, you must comprehend

| Very well done. I got light instead of white, but I don't consider that a wrong answer, when so many people think it's one way for good reason, then I just think there are two correct answers. Someone above, at eh beginning, said they had four answers that was the same word used four ways, or something.... What's that about? Thanks for the teaser! |

| When I read the first line I got "write", then somehow that caused the word rhyme to morph into homophone, so I was looking for "right", "rite", and "wright". Once I realized it was rhyme, I saw "kite" and figured the other two had to rhyme. I agree that "brightness can't be more"=white is a weak clue. White is not necessarily bright. I decided that "white" was a better answer than "light", but I can see how some went the other way. |

| Hey stop beating yourselves up for getting "light" instead of "white" Light makes a lot more sense because if you paint at all you know there are many shades in the white category. We who saw the light are correct and the author of the quiz is wrong. Very easy quiz though and hardly a challenge. |

| The editors must be getting pickier as time goes on, I know from having submitted several teasers rejected for possible multiple answers (some of which were a stretch, and not a glaring as this one), that if this was submitted now, it would not have passed. Obviously I too thought "light' and dispute "white'" for the same reason as others, there are many variants of white, some of which are very dull and dingy. |
