craniac Sep 20, 2007	My mother had one of those old toasters for years after the modern ones came out. You had to turn the slices manually to toast both sides, and if you didn't watch out, you could burn them -- in which case, my thrifty mom would scrape the burnt toast and make you eat it anyway, blech!
