troydunn May 27, 2005	I've a much more poetic variation on this one: What doth man love more than life, hate more than death or mortal strife? 'Tis that which contented men desire, the poor possess, and the rich require, the miser spends, the spendthrift saves, and all men carry to their graves? Classic riddle. Good stuff.

But I did like this one the many times I've heard it before usually starting with More powerful than God and the rich need it. I do like the one above in verse. I didn't expect to find such an old and common one at this site.

selpy123 Jan 02, 2011	You shouldn't put "The poor have a lot of it" because that would be saying that the poor have a lot of nothing, which is technically impossible. Just put "The poor have it".
