A Green House
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.
There is a green house. Inside the green house there is a white house. Inside the white house there is a red house. Inside the red house there are lots of babies. What is it?
Answer
A watermelon.

| I actually heard this before but it was so long ago it didn't come to me right away. It's a good classic. Thanks |

| A fruit houses its seeds/babies. The white "house" is the bit between the green skin and red meat; it is bitter.
I tried apple first but, of course that didn't work. Love watermelon in the summer. |
