 I agree. You can subtract 6 from 36 as many times as you want until the day you die. Maybe that shoule be the answer instead.

 I also agree, you could use up 18,562 pieces of paper, and still keep subtracting 6 from 36. Then using roman numerals.......

 how about this answer: you can only subtract 6 from 36 once. after that, you have 3
