Time Zones 2
Science brain teasers require understanding of the physical or biological world and the laws that govern it.
There are certain ways you can cross major time zones one way and not have to change your clocks. What time of year and which direction?
HintTwo times of the year and different directions.

Answer
The times are spring and fall daylight savings.
The actual day may vary in your location, which is why I'm not saying a specific date.
During spring daylight savings, you can go east to west without changing clocks.
During fall daylight savings, you can go west to east.
You can only go one standard time zone either way, but you won't have to change your clocks.

| I'm pretty sure not everybody in the world does Daylight Savings.
This teaser would only work for countries that change their clocks twice a year.
It's a good teaser for Americans. |

| Of course if you're Australian, you'll know that standard time zones are GMT +10, GMT +10.5, and GMT +12, going east to west, so this wouldn't work. |

| there's a reason why it states major time zones. there are many time zones that fall in between the major time zones by sifferent amounts of time. and there are a of areas that follow daylight saving, but change at different days of the year. |

| You said we would cross the time zone...
assume we are either walking, driving, or in a plane...
You normally wouldnt have a clock with you to change. (but maybe a watch)
if that was the answer, it could have been a question in the 'trick' category |
