Your Days Are Numbered
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.
Ubiquitous rhythm,
Paced by a charge,
On and on it goes
Until day is done.
Testimony of life
To be seen, felt, and heard,
Only a cold man
Slumbers without one.
Hint...the beat goes on...

Answer
A Heart Beat
The heart's rhythm is controlled by the sinoatrial node (the heart's pacemaker), which sends out electrical charges through the heart that cause it to contract. The heartbeat can be seen on an EKG, felt as a pulse by the fingertips, & heard with a stethoscope.

| Very enjoyable. I didn't get the answer because I got hung up on the "on and on it goes until day is done" and a heartbeat goes on into the night as well. But I'm easily hung up on things. |
