I don't really think of a clock having an intestine or stomach...
Yeah...
I've heard of poetic metaphors, but wouldn't the use of an intestine and stomach be taking the metaphorical language a little far in the case a clock???
Jake actually wrote this teaser, so I can only presume at some meanings, but I happen to like the metaphor. It is part of the overall metaphor.
The intestine thing was weird. It realy has nothing to do with a clock..unless your refering to the spring. still it was easy.
I agree with everyone...
I didn't really get it...
I guess it makes sense...

agree agree, the concept of the riddle is cool, but the intestines & stomach bit throws you off and isn't relevant. This is the only thing that stops it from being a really great teaser.
phrebh, man I though you were losing it before, but this is crazy.
Just smashed my clock...guess what? No heart, intestines or brothers to be found.
you can't just go make up your own metaphors just to make a riddle work.
Love your effort though.

I guess you missed the bit about I didn't write this teaser, the creator of the site did and I won the right to post it.
Plus, the metaphor is sound, people. A digestive tract and an electrical circuit are pretty similar in function.

okay, so maybe "jake" is losing it. You must be so proud to have won the right to post such garbage. I'll take solace in the number of others that agreed with my way of thinking
Well, even though I didn't get it, I still found the metaphorical allusions to be stimulating to my cognitive functions.
Just kidding, I don't talk like that.
While the metaphor does escape me, I don't that it deserves such a negative reaction. I don't think that this is the best riddle ever written, but I certainly don't think it's bad, either.
Anyway, this was a fun riddle.
