Five couples are going on honeymoons to five different places where they will participate in five different activities. Determine the first and last names of each couple, where they went honeymooning and what activity they participated in.

1. Ethan, who is not married to Chrissy, admired the photos of Spain that Jacob Brown showed to him.
2. Matthew, whose last name is not Emerson, enjoyed Portugal.
3. The couple who went sightseeing did so in the Dominican Republic.
4. Sharon had heard lovely things about the Dominican, but decided to go to Spain.
5. Matthew and Tina are not married nor are Janna and Ethan.
6. Ethan didn't go stargazing.
7. The five couples are represented by the Peters, Cuba, Chrissy, Bradley and sailing.
8. Jacob, who isn't a Howe, felt a little seasick during his activity.
9. Patrick, who isn't married to Tina, wished he'd gone sightseeing like Bradley Green, but instead he ended up going shopping.
10. The scuba diving couple didn't do so in Cuba.
11. Bradley and Josie had a great time on their honeymoon.

Tricky! I had to do this one twice.

fun, easy! Congrats on your first teaser!

Love these type of teasers but there is a problem:
The puzzle does not name the 5th honeymoon destination. MEXICO is not listed until you read the answer. It may be listed in the attached logic grid, but I do not use those. It is still possible to solve the puzzle but you must leave Ethan and Tina's destination blank.

Also, Jacob gets slightly seasick during his honeymoon, yet this could be scuba diving OR sailing since one must take a boat to go scuba diving. One is left having to assume he goes sailing. This is correct, however it must be assumed. It would be nice if the scuba were changed to snorkeling which still starts with S and requires no boat.

Thanks for a fun tease!

Scallio, the point of logic grids is to be able to USE the logic grid! The best teasers don't mention all the possibilities.

LOVE the big grid! Didn't need the specification in Clue #8 that Jacob isn't a Howe though. Enjoyed this one!

Somehow I got the last names of Peters and Emerson swapped, I'll have to try this one again later and figure out how to get those right. I have no clue what I did wrong.

does anyone know how we can print the grid thing? because I don't want to be stuck using the computer...
Aug 06, 2006

merri, try using PrintScreen...or Grab, if you have a Mac.

You don't have to be on the boat to experience seasickness. You can get seasick from snorkeling or scuba just by being in the water. I remember watching people vomit in their regulators from seasickness.

i skipped the seasick clue because some men get sick just shopping. i didn't want to assume on that one and got everything right anyway.

All of clue #8 was unneccessary, but good teaser!
