Answer
HEAVEN should finish the series.
Anything that can be prefixed by seventh should fit.
The sequence should look like:
First aid
Second guess
Third degree
Fourth estate
Fifth avenue
Sixth sense
Seventh heaven.
NOTE: Day would also fit as well.

| Very clever, if only really working for Americans I was caught out by the fact that the number of letters go 3,5,6,6,6,5. expecting a 3 to come after. Nice idea though. |
