I am seen through many eyes.
Even the blind see me.
Through me, nothing is impossible.
Many stories come from within me.
Time can hold still, or move at the speed of light.
The unthinkable comes to life in me.
I am a wondrous world full of life, or even death.
Love can rule, and hate fades out of the picture.
Peace can be found throughout and no wars.
It is within me where only I can control; no one else can.
I am a place that no one can take from you.

It is within yourself*, the fire which allows you to be happy, grumpy, sad, loving, caring, beautiful, ugly, sincere, truthful, lying, silly, cool, and many, many more... Keep up the terrific work!
tpkarth Dec 27, 2006	I also came up with "dreams" as the answer, but then reading it again where it says "It is within me where only I can control", I have to agree Imagination may be a better answer.. but then it's not just the dreams u see in sleep which u have no control, you can still dream things as u like even in broad daylight, right? that way, imagination & dream are quite synonymous...

Sunrose Dec 27, 2006	I wish people would understand that the things listed can happen in ones imagination. Just cause I said that there wasn't any within the riddle, doesn't mean that there isn't. I guess I expected more to understand that.
auntiesis Dec 27, 2006	I also thought of dreams, and books flashed through my mind. Books in Braille for the blind. But then I thought imagination fits even better than the other things I was considering. Keep up the good work. I really enjoyed this one, and I felt good that I got it right.

Qrystal Jan 06, 2007	Nice one! I got the answer pretty early, and entertained other answers like dreams and memories but decided in the end that my first answer fit best. It's fun getting riddles right! I think I'm getting better at them, thanks to Braingle!

tova_l Jan 03, 2010	Great teaser, I thought your mind. BTW, people who are blind from birth can't understand the concept of color. Maimonides (the person, not the hospital or any other organization that might happen to be called Maimonides), who was a doctor, proved that. But overall, very clever!
Babe Dec 28, 2012	Found this one to be very easy, but oh so true. I have a very vivid imagination and wish sometimes I could turn it down a bit. Well, actually I do by talking aloud to myself, sometimes. It does get me back on track.

It is so true, that imagination is a remarkable thing that makes all of us free within ourselves and even doing a crummy job or enduring a bad home situation, our imagination can make life somewhat tolerable... and also, movies and TV are distractions that helps us deal with a sometimes negative world, and they are created through someone's imagination.
