Remember Us? We're Still Around.
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.
Soft plastic we're made of and have been for a long, long time.
No need to remove us before going to bed.
When using us there are no annoying clips or pins to bend,
snap or bind.
Just wrap it around the stem, fold and secure.
What are we?
HintWe're named after our shape.

Answer
Spoolies hair rollers. Unlike conventional hair rollers, which are hard and unforgiving, Spoolies are small soft pliable plastic hair curlers introduced around 1945. They are easy to use and sleep in. Shaped like a spool, simply wrap hair around the stem, and fold the top over to secure. There are no pins or clips.

It's a cool teaser, but you'd have to have background knowledge to get it, so I was kind of lost.

Great teaser. I don't have to use them having naturally curly hair, but did use them on the girls so they could sleep in rollers. More please?

I do remember them, in fact I did use them a few times. They did make sleeping easier, but that was before the curling iron. Way, way back in the dark ages. lol
