Stop!
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.
Dontrelle completely failed to stop at a red light. A police officer was sitting only feet away and he did not pull him over. Why?
Answer
Dontrelle was playing "Red-light Green-light" with his Dad, who is a police officer.

| Hmmmm, I thought Jordan was also a police officer and they were on an emergency call together. Either that or Jordan was driving another nearby emergency vehicle on call. I think both those situations are valid answers (?) But the answer given works too! |

| I didn't have the answer you were looking for. I had reasoned the red light was for a left turn lane, where the officer was, and the other lane was green so the driver didn't stop. The officer would have no reason to pull the other driver over. Vice versa would work, too! Red light for main traffic, where the officer was stopped....with the green light for the left turn lane. |

| hmmm.... I was thinking Jordan was an ambulance driver. There are lots of possibilities. It was a fun teaser though, good job. |

| When I was reading the answer, I thought you meant the new little kids' game "Red Light, Green Light" where you mpress a button to make the car go, and when it says "Red light," you have to stop pressing it. |

| umm, the game I played called red light-green light usually had adolescent girls involved, not my dad.
I suppose there must be some other version out there. |

| I though either:
The red light was on the other side if it was a junction, and if not, the police man was dead/didn't notice. |

| Loads of possibilities:
1) It could have been a fire engine-ambulance-police car either with their alarm on so they dont have to stop at a red light or a trying to chase someone
2)No-one said the man was driving a car when it said he failed to stop at a red light
there are loads more answers so you should have written most of these in the answer too |
