Lateral Thinking 2
Situation
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.Situation
A young woman in a restaurant was approached by a tearful old lady who said, "You look so like my own daughter who passed away last year. Could you do me a favor and say 'Good-bye, Mother' when I leave?"
The young woman happily agreed and said, "Good-bye, Mother" when the old lady left. Later she got a shock. What was it?

I got it right off... only because I remember Reggie Mantle pulling similar trick in an Archie comic.
I really enjoyed that. I read that somewhere else too, but it was from a book published in, like, 1984.
LOL! As Isaac Asimov's pointed out, all jokes are old and have been recycled endlessly, so in my view it's fine to turn them into puzzles.
