Lateral Thinking 3
Situation puzzles (sometimes called lateral thinking puzzles) are ones where you need to ask lots of yes or no questions to figure out what happened in the situation. These are good puzzles for groups where one person knows the puzzle and answers the questions.
A gang of criminals was loading a van with television sets that they were stealing from a warehouse when they suddenly heard the siren of an approaching police car. They could not avoid or outpace the police car. How did they escape?
Answer
They started to unload the television sets and carry them back into the warehouse. When the police arrived, the robbers told the police that they were making a late delivery, and they were believed!

| There are still too many other answers that will fit the situation. Otherwise, this can be a mind working teaser. They could also just procede with caution, and pull away from the area. Unless, there is a silent alarm in the building, from where they are procuring the TVs, the approaching law enforcement could be going to another scene! Not enough given info!!!! |

| To the comment above me: It's a situation teaser. Someone is supposed to already know the answer, and you ask yes-or-no questions to find the answer.
Anyway, I thought it was easy, since I got it! Good teaser! |

| I was sure they must have jumped in a manhole and escaped through the sewers.
Surely they could have hopped on the bicycles that were also stored in the warehouse and escaped through alleys too narrow for the police car to fit.
Okay, putting them back wasn't an answer that I thought of, and it's much more clever!

| I didn't like this teaser at all, I mean this isn't about analyzing the situation and finding the one answer the creator has turned it into a guessing game where u need to think of what the creator's imagination will think up You think of a logical answer and I wouldn't be surprised if the answer was "they grew wings and flew away" |

| I agree with rodeopunk_je87 this teaser was lame, VERY lame, not like 1 and 2 at all, I happened to guess it within 2 seconds of reading the teaser, but that was boring and I don't think you spent very long thinking about that one. |

| lets see. im expecting that the police came because someone called 911 and informed the police about the robbers. so why did the police believe them? and if i was a police officer and saw someone putting tvs in their van, i would think they are just making a delivery. |
