Brain Teasers
Entertaining a Chilly Fear In Style
Three words are bonded in a mutual tie
And a pattern within them hides from the eye
One word is a being in entertainment's sake
That brings to people many words, fact and fake
Another word is conformed to a word meaning "chilly"
But it's also a style, yes! Really really!
The last word resides in the pit of our fears
And it waits for us at the end of our years
With these words in order, try to find the design
Where the outsides change, and the middle stays lined
And a pattern within them hides from the eye

You have a unique talent of being able to make the words rhyme and still make sense. Great job!
Very cool teaser!
clever! I like it
i liked it but how do the outside letters go up ???????????????
confused pleezz help!!
confused pleezz help!!
nsquick_koolaid, the letters go up alphabetically. [The "b" in book goes to "c" in cool, while the "k" goes to "l", etc.]
Otherwise, great teaser. I dont have a high tolerance for riddles, so I didnt quite read it through, I was trying to figure out how three words fit in.

Well done and fun to solve. Thanks
A very well-written and challenging riddle. Thank you!
didnt get it ... must be to early in the morning for me...
Wasn't bad. I liked it.
I thought the words were related to one another in a phrase, So I was trying to think of a familiar phrase that would fit. Oh well, it is early.
Very clever and challenging I didn't get it but I liked it! Riddles aren't my favorite, but I could appreciate the logic behind this one! Thanks
really good riddle, didn`t get it right but liked it anyway thx.......
Have to agree with eveyone else. This is a very well written, clever riddle. I didn't get it either, and probably never would because I was also trying to relate it to the meaning of the riddle. Good job.
Very cute teaser! Well Done!
Very good teaser!! The last word had me stumped for a while because I was stuck on "death" being the word but my brain finally kicked into high gear and I was able to solve it. Good job!! I liked it!!
An entertaining teaser to solve! I really enjoyed this one! Hard enough to get the mind going! Keep 'em coming!
Very nicely done! Very enjoyable! Keep them coming!
I too thought I was looking for a phrase, so wasn't really clear. I did get the words from the clues though.
Awesome. Nicely done.
Very good. I thought of Shakespeare's "old age, sickness and death." I wasn't far off, but no cigar.
A very fine teaser!
...though I wasn't able to solve it. It is very clear that the second word is cool. Since the words must match, I was certain the first and third words would have double OO-- still couldn't get it!
Kudos for this one!

Riddles are boring, whatever
Wow! I liked it but I didn't even come close. The only one I got was cool!
"Book" is a "being"?? I like riddles, but found these clues misleading.
Very clever Way too clever for me to solve. Had the middle word and tried all sorts of combos for the other two. Didn't get the 'go up' until I saw the answer. Enjoyed trying
I got hung up because I thought the first was 'author' not 'book'. Oh well! I really enjoyed trying.
I don't understand the comments about "Go up." I have reread the riddle many times and I don't see those words in it.
Good job. I didn't get it, though. I thought of death also. I guess I don't think of the end of life as doom. For me it means the beginning of eternal life. I'm not trying to start a religious debate here, just explaining that words do not have the same connotation for everyone. I think it was still a very clever teaser. I just would have used different clues.

GOOD TEASER, BUT I THOUGHT THE CLUES WERE A BIT LACKING.
COOL! (which is the only of the three words I got).
I got part of the pattern (the "oo"), but I thought the first word was FOOL ... the part about it being a "being" made me think I was right, plus someone could be a fool and it be a fact, or someone could be fooling you and thus being a fake. I had no idea on the last one ... was thinking moon, noon, drool.... Doom fits though.
1/3 ain't bad! And I like how the real answers actually did have a pattern beyond the "oo". Cheers!

too tuff for me
Nice. Too challenging for me to put it all together though.
nice. I got 'cool,' but I thought the last one was 'death.' And for the first one I kept thinking TV but that couldn't be right. I didn't understand the last one about a design.
So what was the purpose of this whole thing? Ho hum!
I didn't find any logic in this either but FINALLY realized that the first and last letters of each word, go UP in the alphabet B,C,D and K,L,M.
Not quite an A HA! moment! But thanks for posting.
