Once again, I chose the right word for the wrong reason...does that mean I get half credit?
Good teaser!

omg! I finally got one of these! Usually when we are given two columns of words, I end up looking at letter combinations or something. This time, however, I remembered to think of something to "add" on. I think I gave myself an inADvertent hint!

I never think to add on letters. It was very clever, and I like it, just too dumb to figure it out.

Got it right away. I was lucky I guess. I noticed yesterday that galyewolf thinks I'm mysterious, but I'm really well known to many.

I must be slow--didn't know about the "adding on" key to these teasers. Hope I get another chance sometime!

Not bad-but I didn't really get it.
However, my sister thought this teaser was funny for some reason.

That was adstupid... your words, not mine.

Another way to justify the same answer is that all the words in the first group + mission are derived from Latin. Only logical - "ad" is a Latin-based prefix used for Latin-based words.
spikethru4*au*
Jan 08, 2013

Not quite logical, as addiction is not derived from diction (though both are derived from Latin).

stupid and concrete also have Latin origins, just to further debunk that theory.
