Theo The Thespian IITrivia brain teasers have some element of trivia in them, but they are not just pure trivia questions.
Theo Cartwright is an amateur actor and playwright. It is his dream to be able to do what he loves professionally. Unfortunately, every time he performs one of his plays, the critics always pick out something that is wrong with it.
Theo had finally gained the chance to regain his credibility after his last unfortunate mishap. He decided to take up a more realistic monologue. A reverend had just received a knighthood!
"Hello," he started, appearing on-stage. "My name is Reverend Smith, and a few months ago I saved a young boy's life. I didn't do it for the money or the fame. I am one of God's followers and it was the right thing to do. However, last month I was given the great privilege of being knighted by The Queen! It was such a tremendous day. As I knelt in front of her, I felt I was the king of the world. Each tap on my shoulder with the ceremonial sword sent shudders down my spine. The sword was beautiful, and I couldn't believe it was me whose shoulders it was coming down on. It felt surreal."
After the show, he met up with the critic again to hear his opinion.
"I'm sorry, Theo. You made yet another big mistake, and I just couldn't think past it," the critic said sadly. "I'm going to have to give you a bad review."
What mistake did Theo make?
HintAlthough he described a knighthood correctly, there should have been one difference to the usual ceremony due to his status.
AnswerWhen knighted, a clergyman is never dubbed with a sword. It is highly inappropriate to raise a sword to a man of God!
