easy but real fun. I had read before about those people saying those funny things. I always wondered why such people become so important with all their flies in the attic...

Fun teaser!

The only downfall is that it tried to be a good teaser but failed with the scrambling of words. In order to guarantee truly scrambled, the beginning and ending of the word must not be the same when scrambled such as:

NOT:
practically --> ptcalarcily
SHOULD BE:
practically --> ytcalarcilp

Something like the latter is much harder to unscramble than the former.

Maybe kratsq is right, but I liked it just the way it is. Nice teaser, thanks for posting.

Com'on folks, this is a fun teaser and the quotes are funny, but please realize that Dan Quayle (at least - maybe also the others) was poking fun at himself.

He may not have been the sharpest knife in the drawer but he rolled with it and at least kept up a good sense of humor. This is simply an example of that - give him a little credit.

5 seconds. Too EZ for me but the quotes themselves are very funny

Awesome teaser! Easy, but it was fun b/c of the meaninglessness of the quotes...thanks for the teaser.

Feb 26, 2008

LOL, yeah fatster - I think that he (Al G.) might actually have done that - the jury is still out!

As for Danny Q., com'on, this is all small potatose, no?

And kf you ask Ted Kennedy, both are just more water under the bridge.

The phenomenon of scrambling words while keeping the first and last letters the same and yet still being readable is not at all universal. It only works in some cases. Here is a link to a study on this (http://goo.gl/zOzHh) where they give three examples where it becomes progressivly more difficult to read:
1) A vheclie epxledod at a plocie cehckipont near the UN haduqertares in Bagahdd on Mnoday kilinlg the bmober and an Irqai polcie offceir
2) Big ccunoil tax ineesacrs tihs yaer hvae seezueqd the inmcoes of mnay pneosenirs
3) A dootcr has aimttded the magltheuansr of a tageene ceacnr pintaet who deid aetfr a hatospil durg blendur

Also, they give this example which could have several translations:
"The sprehas had ponits and patles"
This might come out as...
The sherpas had pitons and plates.
The shapers had points and pleats.
The seraphs had pintos and petals.
The sphaers had pinots and palets.
The sphears had potins and peltas.

Easy teaser, but a fun one and how funny that they even said that.
I hope they see this somewhere somehow and feel embarrassed.

Funny quotes but a little bit simplistic method of making a teaser out of it. Good work though
