Okay, if anybody's like me and doesn't know what "sock away" means it is to put money in a safe place. What countries use that expression? I've never heard it in Australia, has anybody else heard it in Australia? Is it some older generation thing?
Nov 06, 2007

In response to my own comment, I should have checked the nationality of the puzzle creator - whoops.
Nov 06, 2007

I figured it was sock but wasn't sure about sock away - now I understand. Thanks Fun Quiz
Nov 06, 2007

"sock" was the one I couldn't figure out. The others sort of jumped out at me
Thanks for a good puzzle. Clever people who think of these!
Nov 06, 2007

What is a beer hall?
Nov 06, 2007

I too had trouble with the first one, but the rest were quite easy. Another winner, Jazz.
Nov 06, 2007

Good teaser, but it seemed really easy. Probably having two in a row the same genre helped a lot.
Nov 06, 2007
Pretty easy, really.
Nov 06, 2007

I only got the soup one! Great teaser!!!!
Nov 06, 2007

I guess you have to be a little older than the average person on here to know what a beer hall is.
I got them all right. Loved the teaser. Thanks for posting.

Nov 06, 2007

Very cute. I didn't get the 1st one, but the rest were easy.
Nov 06, 2007

YAY!! I got 'em all - usually not patient enough!
Nov 06, 2007

I only got the soup one also Great teaser though!
Nov 06, 2007

Not fun=need more coffee!
Nov 06, 2007

I suspected that #1 was sock, I had never heard of sock wind. I thought the answer was "broke" as in ankle broke, puppet broke, broke wind and broke away?? Go figure!
Nov 06, 2007

I thought #2 was "up" (up root, belly-up)... but beer makes more sense.
Nov 06, 2007

Haha, beer belly!
Nov 06, 2007

We usually spell it "draught beer," so I missed that one...
Nov 06, 2007

Another winner! Easy for me....says the person who has 'gotten' only two rebus's-rebi? and, maybe, 3 riddlesl.
Nov 06, 2007

Nice Teaser

I only missed one this time "Beer"
Beer Belly IS funny as someone said.

I'm starting too get better at these
Nov 06, 2007

Now that I've read the top comments I "Sock-away" money in
Maybe it's a little old thing, people
used to hide money in a sock &
put it in the freezer. I think the
Brits do too. My Dad was English
maybe I got it from him.
Nov 06, 2007

Good one , Jazz. Got em all besides beer. THX GUY
Nov 07, 2007

Finally I got one! I was starting to think that my brain had shut off. Fun puzzle!
Nov 07, 2007

another great one jazz... but this time i got them all with ease... unlike the "powder horn" one i just did... and i'm sure there's more to come
Nov 10, 2007

Nice one Jazz. But I got it binga, banga, bing. Real easy for me.
Nov 13, 2007

Good one for me!!!
Nov 06, 2010

Well, I am glad something jumped out at someone, because I had a difficult time with most of them and then got fed up.
Nov 06, 2010

hilarious i barely got it
Nov 06, 2013

Four for four
Nov 06, 2013

Nov 06, 2013

As someone else said, maybe having this type 2 days in a row helped-Got 'em all with minimal strain! Lol....the 'beer' one kinda jumped in there before I finished the first WORD!
Nov 06, 2013

Wow, jazzmusician got his first and second of this series to be Teaser of the Day in a span of 3 days. Pretty impressive/lucky! They good teasers.
Nov 07, 2016

That did not take me long to figure this one out even if it is past my bedtime. I really liked it and maybe I will sock it away in my memory book to pass on to friends and family
Nov 07, 2016

I like these quizzes, but still didn't get the first one. Thanks for a good one, jazz.
Nov 07, 2016
