Two Legs, Three Legs, Four Legs...
Riddles are little poems or phrases that pose a question that needs answering. Riddles frequently rhyme, but this is not a requirement.
Two legs sat on three legs by four legs. One leg knocked two legs off three legs. Two legs hit four legs with three legs.
What happened?
HintA rural perspective might help.

Answer
A farmer (2 legs) sat on a 3-legged stool beside a cow (4 legs) in preparation for milking the cow. The cow kicked the farmer off the stool which made the farmer angry so he hit the cow with the stool.

| How about a guy (2) in a bar sitting on a stool(3) next to another guy wearing crutches (4).
One of the crutches slips (1) and the irate guy (2) hits the other guy with crutches (4) with the stool (3).
Doesn't this meet the criteria?

| Nice variation on a VERY old riddle:
Two legs sat upon three legs,
With one leg in his lap;
In comes four legs,
Runs away with one leg;
Up jumps two legs,
Catches up three legs,
Throws it after four legs,
And makes him bring back one leg.
One leg is a leg of mutton, two legs a man, three legs a stool, four legs a dog, and yes I do have sympathy for the poor hungry dog. |

| This one was too simple for me because at one time I was that two legged using a three legged to strike the four legged who had kicked the three legged out from under the two legged along with the bucket which had taken an arm and a leg to produce. My little hands were smaller than the job I was trying to master. Cute teaser tho. |
